Dogs found with chopped ears and tails a

"Upon arrival at the address we located approximately 100 dogs consisting of various breeds," Daniel Young from the RSPCA told 7 News.

Eleven dogs were taken from a Willowbank in Ipswich on Tuesday morning as part of a joint operation between Queensland police and RSPCA officers, seizing four dogs, two puppies, two guns and drug paraphernalia.

"The dogs appeared to be in good condition however there were some concerns relating to the housing of these
animal and as i mentioned earlier their docked tails and cropped ears."

The dogs were a mix of American bulldogs, French bulldogs and cane corsos, also known as Italian mastiffs which are breeds commonly used in illegal dog fighting.

The man is due to appear in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on January 14.
